Johnny just dropped his latest BCD “Waiting For The Train.”  In the featured article, Johnny talks growing up in Hattiesburg Mississippi, and being surrounded by the blues.  Johnny admits that he was a little different growing up.  He didn’t grow up singing in the church.  That’s almost unheard of in Mississipppi…He really got into singing when he moved to Wisconsin.  He said it was too much competition there so he wouldn’t open his mouth to sing.  In Wisconsin things broke for him when O.V. Wright asked him to form a band to be his back-up band.  If you want to know about Johnny Rawls, we have a link on the BluesNews Page at BLUESTIMEINTHECITY.COM BLUESTIMEINTHECITY.COM BLUESTIMEINTHECITY.COM BLUESTIMEINTHECITY.COM BLUESTIMEINTHECITY.COM This is a great idea…The Chicago Blues Festival for 2017 is over.  But, this is what I found.  You can go on line and look at all the action, the performers, the pomp and circumstances that took place at this years’ blues festival in pictures from June 8th through the 11th…There are hundreds of pictures.  Everything from the Muddy Waters Mural Dedication to all the performances.  The 2017 Chicago Blues Festival in pictures.  If you want to see them, we have a link to the sits on the BluesNews page at BluesTime in the….
