THE BLUESNEWS FROM THE WORLD OF THE BLUESBLUES FOR THE WEEKEND OF MARCH 4-5, 2017 According to the Blues Music Foundation, Six performers, one album, five singles, one book and one magazine founder will be inducted at the Blues Foundation’s 38th Annual Induction Ceremony on May 10, 2017…..Induction into the 38th class will be Mavis Staples, Latimore, Magic Slim, Johnny Copeland, Willie Johnson, and Henry Gray..These are the singers and musicians…And then there’s Amy van Singel, the co founder of Living Blues Magazine that recently passed away…September of 2016 …Bo Diddley’s signature song, Bo Diddley and Tommy Tuckers tune Hi Heel Sneakers…and the Albert King Hit song, I’ll Play The Blues for You…along with Son House’s tune Preachin the Blues and I Ain’t Superstitious….Also John Lee Hooker’s 1966 Chess Album Real Folk Blues will go in.  John Lee was inducted in 1980…And the W.C. The people were on stage with their acceptances speeches when the mistake was discovered… Just goes to show, you have got to check everything, especially with a production that big….I was a TV producer for many many years…..It happens…. Probably the only person that could fully understand what they went through was Steve Harvey….. By the way, Moonlight won for best picture after the dust settled…… WHERE THEY AT WHERE THEY AT:
